365 Word Tales

Microfiction is the aim of the game in the 365 Word Tales section. All stories are limited to that exact word count. The concept came from a writing challenge where a story was to be created from a one-word topic. One such story just happened to be 365 words long. From that came a series of stories with a common format of a exactly 365 words.

Perhaps some day there will be one 365 word tale here for each day of the year.

Short Stories

A good topic can be the source of a great short story. , and most of the time I enjoy getting a single topic or subject to morph itself into a completely curious tale. It’s entertaining to see where it goes.

Photography

Like Paul Simon sung, I love to take photographs, and I have a Nikon camera too. Pity about the slide film, though. I was very big into photography back in the ’80s and ’90s when I worked in that business. However I lapsed from the true faith in the mid ’90s and sold off all of my gear. Quite simply, I was so wrapped up in shooting scenes and events that I was no longer taking part in any of the events. Removing that isolating layer from my life was a relief, but less than two years later I.T. and photography began that incestuous relationship of theirs and the first get was a wonderful 768×568 pixel digital camera. Bliss! Ah, the day I bought my first 2Mb CF memory card …

It took another ten years to return to the SLR fold. The wait was definitely worth it.
